1 Day temples tour in Lamphun

PhrathatHariphunchaiWoramahawiharn temple
        was built around 897 by the King of Lamphun, King Athittayarat.We will visit the pagoda containing a hair of the Lord Buddha, dates back to the 9th Century anda large bronze gong which is claimed to be the biggest of its kind in the world. Also an old wooden library which is built on a high brick pedestal.Thai people believe that this temple is one of the holiest in the country. It is also an important pilgrimage site for people born in the Year of the Rooster.Then heading to Hariphunchai National Museum to see Lamphun history.

PhraPhutthabattakPha temple
        Legend hold that the Lord Buddha visited this temple and left his footprint and laid out his saffron robe to dry on the rock. These imprints can still be seen. That is the reason why we call PhraPhutthabattakPha temple(TakPha means to hang out to dry).

Phra Nang Chamthewi Statue
        Phra Nang Chamthewi Statueis located in NongDokpublic park in town,commemorating the first ruler of Hariphunchai (Lamphun). This is bronze statue and attracts a lot of people as a place of worship and reflection.
 
Mahawan temple
        was founded in the year 657 by Queen Chamathewi, who brought a Buddha image from Lawo (Lopburi) to be enshrined here. Buddha image seated under the Naga's hood, PhraSila Dam, locally called Phra RodLuang or Phra RodLamphun.
